Loving hatred

Sometimes it is unbelievably hard to love someone with so much hatred in their heart.

Sorry this is so short, but it's simple.  Loving can be one of the most trying actions.

  1. With this...I do not mean romantically love; I mean to love someone as Jesus loved.

  2. I feel as though this is the hardest thing to do. But as always, the christian life is not meant to be easy. My best friend from home was struggling with her roommate freshman year to the point that she would have panic attacks if she had to go back to her room and she new her roommate would be there. I kept sending her this verse:

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-21).

  3. Thanks, Colleen. I need to keep repeating that "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
